Audrey Coyle - Producer

At the age of 8, Audrey was gifted her first violin, and from then music and performance has played a huge role in her life.

Audrey became the leader of the Donegal Youth Orchestra at age 15, and at 18, she played with an International Youth Orchestra, performing throughout Switzerland. During this time, she also gained experience in conducting which gave her the first taste of mentoring and the joy that teaching music brings to a child’s life.

Audrey has been a music teacher in Carndonagh Community School since 2003 and she thrives on sharing her passion for music with her students. She has co-directed, co-produced and co-choreographed productions including, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma, Grease, and The Addams Family, as well as a range of Talent Extravaganzas!

Audrey is a long standing member of the Letterkenny Music and Drama Group, through which she has performed in musicals such as The Buddy Holly Story, Hairspray in which she played Prudy Pingleton and Legally Blonde and many more. Audrey also performed in several productions of Caisleáin Óir. Audrey made her television debut in a Bonny & Clyde Documentary which aired on the Discovery Channel. She also sings and plays violin in various bands, and has taught violin with the Donegal VEC and with The Mc Ginley School of Music in Derry.

Audrey is passionate about teaching music, but loves giving young people the opportunity to experience the buzz that performing can bring. For this reason she is delighted to be working with the Rainbow Theatre Group. On a personal note, Kathleen Ruddy was a close friend and Musical Mentor to Audrey throughout her life, so it is a privilege and an honour to be part of carrying on her legacy. With her experience on and off stage and as a teacher, Audrey is very excited to bring back the magic of the Rainbow Theatre Group.
